Preventative Cleaning

Q. What is covered in the 5 dental screenings with the hygenist?
A. First there is the risk assessment screening, second is the head and neck oral cancer screening, and third we will be doing a restorative screening which has to do with decay or old broken down dentistry. Fourth is the occlusal screening which has to do with your bite and the way that your teeth and joint and muscles work together and last there is a periodontal screening, your gum and bone health.This is all done in addition to your cleaning each and every time you come to see the hygienist.


Q. How often should a person see their dentist?
A. Everybody’s body is different and how they react to the bacteria in their mouth will determine how frequently that patient needs to come in.
